CITIZENS OF NOWHERE
Statelessness: a forgotten human rights crisis
They are the invisible, the excluded, the "voiceless" of our societies. Without rights and consistently absent from public debate, stateless people are unprotected by any state and sidelined by the societies where they live. Deemed worthless, deprived of education or means of subsistence, they are denied access to fundamental rights.
But what are the root causes of statelessness? What are its consequences? What does it do to our humanity? What international solutions exist? What challenges does statelessness pose for future generations?
Join us for the launch of the podcast "Citizens of Nowhere", by Chahut Média, followed by a discussion on the theme of statelessness, with Chris Nash (ENS) and Monika Sandvik (UNHCR) and an apéro.
